Hytera PD795IS Intrinsically Safe DMR Two-Way Radio (ATEX / IECEx)

The Hytera PD795IS is an intrinsically safe DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) portable two-way radio with a full keypad and colour display, built for hazardous areas where explosive gas, combustible dust or coal mine methane are present.

It is certified to the highest intrinsic safety grade, "ia". That grade means the circuit carries three independent protective measures and stays safe even if two faults occur at once — which is why an "ia" radio can be used in Zone 0, the most tightly controlled classification, as well as Zones 1 and 2.

It also carries Group I M1 mining certification, so it can remain in use during a gas outbreak underground rather than having to be withdrawn.

Typical users: oil and gas, coal mining, chemical plants, gas stations, flour mills, fire and rescue and airport operations.

Safety features

• Lone Worker — if the radio is not operated within a preset period, the emergency function triggers automatically.
• Man Down — the radio detects a fall and alerts other team members without the user having to press anything.
• GNSS positioning — built-in GPS, GLONASS and BeiDou support, with tracking sensitivity to -164 dBm.
• Patented battery latch — releasing the battery requires moving a lock and bolt along two different axes, so a drop cannot separate the pack from the radio and create a spark.
• Silicone encapsulation — the internal circuits are sealed against liquid, inflammable dust and explosive gas.
• Antistatic construction — dual-material moulding on the display and shell reduces static discharge.
