Entel DT944FF MED Fire Fighter Intrinsically Safe DMR Radio (VHF ATEX IIC)

The Entel DT944FF is an MED-approved intrinsically safe DMR portable from the DTEx Fire Fighter series, designed for onboard fire teams and finished in high-visibility fire red.

It meets MED/5.20, the standard implementation regulation for fire-fighter two-way radios, alongside the European ATEX directive. Certification is ATEX II 2G Ex ib IIC T4 Gb. Gas group IIC is the most stringent ATEX rating, covering acetylene and hydrogen atmospheres. Transmit power is capped at 2 W EIRP by the regulations that apply to this classification.

• Bone conductive audio — the CXR5 skull mic and CXR16 throat mic strip out ambient noise and have become the standard fit for onboard fire teams. Draeger BA kits are supported.
• Ultra-tactile buttons and high-torque controls — operable in full gloves.
• Validated accessory connector — gold-plated, submersible and locking, with automatic checking so a non-compliant accessory cannot invalidate the IS approval.

Onboard reprogramming

A free drag-and-drop PC app lets non-technical crew apply a new programming file emailed by the dealer, without the radio leaving the vessel.
